Clinical Professional

Vail-Summit Orthopaedics is searching for a Clinical Professional to join our team. Energetic, motivated individual needed for busy orthopaedic clinic in all locations. Must have reliable transportation. Responsibilities include assisting with operational duties, such as patient intake, data collection, DME fitting, suture/staple removal, cast/splint application, and coordination of testing. Must be a certified Medical Assistant, EMT, or Athletic Trainer. Orthopaedic experience preferred.

Residency Trained Certified Athletic Trainer

Vail Summit Orthopaedics, a high volume, fast-paced 9-physician orthopaedic practice with 3 clinic location in Eagle and Summit County, Colorado seeks a Residency Trained Certified Athletic Trainer with experience or interest in Knee, Shoulder, Upper Extremity, and Sports Medicine.  Duties include history taking, general medical review, injury evaluation, study ordering, reviewing radiographic findings, laboratory results, and operative imaging. Must be comfortable discussing injuries, treatment options, and expected outcomes from surgical and non-surgical interventions with patients and providers, and completing necessary patient paperwork.  Qualified candidates are expected to assist in the Operating Room with patient positioning, setup, procedures, and closure and discuss processes with patients in pre-op and post-op.

The ideal candidate has completed a post-professional athletic training residency, fits well into our "work hard, play hard" culture and understands the importance of providing excellent patient care and prompt, outstanding customer service. This person has great communication, organization, surgical and clinical skills, and will travel between offices and hospitals. Applicants will benefit from researching and understanding the climate in our high altitude communities, and be committed to living and driving in mountain weather conditions. 2+ years’ experience in orthopaedics required.
