“Dr. Cafferky performed a repair to my hip last Summer on 7.23.16. I have experienced a full recovery and, as was my intention, have returned to a full cycling regimen. This injury was the first bone I've ever broken, and that after 60 years of playing sports and any number of athletic endeavors. Dr. Cafferky completed the surgery quickly and competently.

What I want to relate here is that it was his manner, which made all the difference to me during my recovery. Twice he called me back at my home and listened to my worries and fears over this injury. He did not pull any punches (it IS a chancy injury after all) but his tone and kind words got me through a couple of very rough afternoons. Suffering from the uncertainty and loss of confidence, which this injury brought to me, Nathan's patience and willingness to simply listen to me were a lifeline back to health and vigor. The day in October when he walked into the exam room, shook my hand, and said "congratulations you're healed" will stick in my mind forever.

“Dr. Janes and the entire staff were great. Most of all they were thorough and caring. I had a relatively minor surgery - repairing torn meniscus in my right knee. Appointments prior to the outpatient surgery answered all my questions and prepared me well for the procedure. Follow-up was great and complemented by a good physical therapy regimen. Overall, a great experience. Thanks.”

“I would like to thank Dr Janes for being an excellent provider for my family.
He has always treated us with respect and has throughly answered our concerns.
On SuperBowl Sunday I had the misfortune of fracturing my femur while skiing.
Being in excruciating pain and needing surgery, I asked for Dr Janes to do the surgery. He was not the doctor on call that day. However, someone did get a message to him and he willingly came to the hospital to do my surgery. This was his day off....and yes, missing that SuperBowl Game. This exemplifies the compassion he has for his patients.
He checked on me every morning in the hospital to monitor my progress. It will be a long haul but I'm expecting to eventually be back to my daily active life style living here in Summit County.
Thank you Dr Janes for your exceptional care.

“I went to Dr Raub with a C6/C7 herniated disc. It was the most debilitated I've ever been. Didn't sleep, couldn't work. I'm a very active person; before the herniation diagnosis, I was skating a nordic marathon every weekend. That period was one of the most depressing in my life. Scott gave me an injection, prescribed therapy, and demanded that I not run (>30 mile runs) for six months. It was difficult to respect that, but I did. Since last season, I've run four ultras, placing top 3 in two of them. Attached (oops: can't upload due to 2MB limitation) of me running the Grand Canyon (South Rim to North Rim to South Rim = 42 miles) last fall. I could not have done any of these without his professionalism and realistic approach to my condition. However, I have had to make some life changes. I don't skate ski anymore because I fear its return and I never sleep without a cervical collar. But these are small sacrifices. I never take pain meds and, only occasionally, do I pop a Meloxicam instead of ibuprofen. Thank you VSO!
