Dr. Erik Dorf, an upper extremity specialist with Vail Summit Orthopaedics and US Ski Team physician, performed surgery last week on slopestyle skier Kaya Turski. The 27-year old injured her arm during a training session in Breckenridge ahead of the Dew Tour.

“I’m feeling very optimistic about my recovery,” said Turski. “I was operated on by a great doctor who assured me I’d feel as good as new in no time. I’ve been through minor and major injuries, and at the end of the day, this is just an arm. The doctor’s given me very optimistic timelines, and I’m looking forward to getting back on snow in early 2016 and competing with my teammates. My ultimate goal, as always, is to prepare myself for the next Winter Olympic.”
