Nathan L. Cafferky, M.D., joint replacement and revision of the hip and knee surgeon at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics, was recently honored with the 2016 Rising Star Award at Vail Valley Medical Center in Vail. This award is given every year to a physician who has been on staff at VVMC for five years or less and exemplifies leadership, quality patient care, contributions to the community and hospital and the utilization of evidence-based medicine in daily practice.
Dr. Cafferky joined Vail-Summit Orthopaedics in August 2015 and has been operating on patients at VVMC since then. He was nominated for the Rising Star Award by the administrative staff at Vail-Summit Orthopaedics and was chosen as the recipient by his peers, physician leadership and hospital administration at VVMC.
