On Saturday I volunteered as a nurse in the PACU (Recovery Room) as patients woke up from their surgeries.  The energy throughout Peak One Surgery Center was so positive; everyone was busy and upbeat.  Having chocolate and great food from the other wonderful volunteers always helps.

Every single patient expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the surgeries and all the people involved.  I heard “Thank you so much”  “I am so grateful for what you did for me”  “This day has changed my life”  “I feel like I won the lottery”  “You are all angels”  “Now I can pursue my dreams”  “This is a miracle”.

Mother Theresa once said, “We cannot do great things.  We can only do small things with great love.”  I believe that Saturday was an example of the love of God working through each of us.   I know for myself that in giving I have received back ten-fold.   Funny how that works.
