VSON and Middle Park Health: A Closer Look at an Orthopaedic Partnership

Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery and Middle Park Health of Grand County, Colorado are pleased to recognize their important partnership in the Grand County community. This partnership, founded in 2021, was orchestrated to provide world-class orthopaedic care to Colorado’s high country. A Closer Look


Dr. PJ Bevan is a Colorado native who grew up playing hockey in Eagle County. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado. He attended Medical School at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-Northwest in Oregon. Following Medical School he completed his residency at The Cleveland Clinic - South Pointe Hospital, and a Fellowship with Hoag Orthopedic Institute. He has served as Associate Team Physician with the Los Angeles Chargers. Dr. Bevan’s personal philosophy is focused on getting patients back to the activities they love.


Dr. Richard Pfeiffer has over two decades of orthopaedic and sports medicine experience. As a Colorado native, he is passionate about treating the orthopaedic needs of the active patient population in Grand County. His philosophy of care is, “treating patients the way I want to be treated.” Dr. Pfeiffer has a specialized focus on the treatment of the shoulder, and knee injuries. Patients report a high level of patient satisfaction, and positive patient outcomes with Dr. Pfeiffer.
